‘Lack of Consensus on Steps Needed to Fix the Economy’

Interview with Puja Mehra

In our recently started series of interviews, we spoke to Puja Mehra, a senior journalist who has been writing on the economy, finance and governance for almost eighteen years  now. She has recently authored a book “The Lost Decade: 2008 – 18 : How India’s Growth Story Devolved into Growth without a Story” published by the Penguin Random House. She was Economic Editor at the Hindu till some years back and now writes independently. Earlier she has worked with several reputed publications including the India Today and Business Today and is the two-time winner of Ram Nath Goenka Award for excellence in journalism.

In this interview, Puja extensively talks about issues concerning the Indian economy contextualising with the topics covered in her book. Though Puja calls herself a student of economics yet her insights on politics (how does it impact the policy making) are very interesting. Watch it here and you will find it informative and engaging if you have interest in Indian economy and politics. The rich content provided by Puja should compensate the amateurishly produced video.
